I have been over the prophecies a hundred times. I know I will continue to study them because I know it is all happening- or at least starting to happen. We are in the strongest labor pains right now.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” Matthew 24:7-8, Mark 13:8

“So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.” Luke 21:31

Yesterday we observed the 20th anniversary of the most devastating terrorist attack the U.S. have ever experienced. All over social media and media itself was the message, “Never Forget”. But exactly what is it that we’re not supposed to forget, because for the last 20 years, society in in our country has been growing increasingly less reverent of God and His majesty. But if you recall, 20 years ago today (September 12), our country was united and praying and kneeling before God, begging Him for protection and redemption. It seems to me that we have most certainly forgotten what God was warning us on that horrible day.

What was that warning? If we continue to turn away from Him, we are going to be destroyed. If you don’t believe me, please, pick up your Bible and start reading. We see this same scenario happening over and over again.

What do I see happening that makes me think this way?

2 Timothy 3:2-4 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.

1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!”, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. (September 15, 2017 the UN declared ‘Peace and safety’ on the International Day of Peace. Only 4 years later, our whole world is in utter chaos)

2 Peter 2:1-2 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.

2 Peter 3:16 …In which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

Luke 21:8 “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore do no go after them. (Matthew 24:4-5, Mark 13:5-6)

Matthew 24:38-44 “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour the Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

Romans 1:20-32 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man- and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore, God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, back-biters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing that the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

I know, that’s a lot of Scripture, but read it! I mean how explicit can anyone get? And this is close to 2000 years old! But it is so descriptive of our society today.

Point to ponder: If you believe that God has no wrath against sin and disobedience, then you will surely experience that wrath when He judges at the last day. All this time, while people have been busy weaving their lives on this world, doing what they want and following their own paths instead of God’s, He has been calling for us to turn to Him in repentance and see the Truth. He took drastic measures to prove that no one will escape His wrath without repentance first. He took drastic measures to provide one SURE way to redeem us AND fulfill the necessity of His wrath without our harm. Why do we not take this seriously?

Romans 9:22-23 What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which he prepared beforehand for glory…

Once you get it, I mean really understand the profound mercy in what Jesus has done for us, the only thing left for you to do is to fall on your face in repentance and awe of God, the Creator and Jesus our Lord and the Holy Spirit who opens our eyes to these facts. He is amazing. His mercy and grace is incredible. It all leaves me speechless because I see how destitute I am without Him.

Yes, the last days are here but I can’t help but rejoice because I know that He is sovereign and I am in His arms. I hope you are too.
